National Youth Committee elections 2023

The elections for the next Finnish Red Cross's National Youth Committee will be held online 4–5 October 2023. The National Youth Committee is a working group operating under the Board of the Finnish Red Cross, promoting the status and inclusion of our organisation members under the age of 29.

What is the National Youth Committee?
According to the FRC Decree (chapter 8, section 52), the Board of Directors of our organisation may establish commissions, committees or working groups with a fixed-term membership for certain duties. The decision for establishing the National Youth Committee is thereby made by the Board of the Finnish Red Cross, which also determines the duties of the committee. The Youth Committee’s term takes place between 2024 and 2026. Our new Board elected in June 2023 should determine its commissions and committees in late 2023.
The voting results of the election to be held 4–5 October 2023 are submitted to the Board of the Finnish Red Cross as a proposal for the composition of the National Youth Committee. Based on the election results, a Chair, a Vice-Chair, five full members and a maximum of five deputy members are proposed to be appointed to the Youth Committee. The elections and composition of the Youth Committee are outlined in the work instructions of the Youth Assembly approved by the Board of Directors.
