Usually, we have a certain topic to each time we meet, and our volunteer workers are there every time to guide the activities. Come alone or bring a friend or family with you, everyone is welcome to join!

Suomi-kahvila is open on Thurdays at 17-19 in Matkakeskus Liikerata, address Eteläinen Asemakatu 2 (the entrance is from outside at bus platform no4).

Läksyhelppi- help with homework
Läksyhelppi is a more formal class of Finnish language, and you can also bring homework from your other Finnish language studies if you need help with them. Our volunteers teach you grammar and try to help with whatever problems you may have with your homework. Each session is based on the groups needs, some may be starting their studies, and some may speak Finnish pretty well already.

Läksyhelppi is open on Thursdays at 16-17 (before Suomi-kahvila) in Matkakeskus Liikerata , address Eteläinen Asemakatu 2. (the entrance is from outside at bus platform no4).

Our vlunteer workers are there every time to guide the activities.  Come join us!

Naisten klubi / Women’s club is aimed for immigrant women who would like to learn Finnish language, meet new people and do different things with hands. We use creative methods such as painting, drawing, coloring, clay work and other crafts. You do not need to have any specific skills in order to join, everyone is welcome as they are. The group together will determine what kind of exercises we will be doing. Our volunteer workers (women) are there to guide the activities and exercises. At the end of the spring we will gather our artwork and organize a little exhibition. Come join us in women’s club and be creative!

On Mondays at 17-19 in Punaisen Ristin toimitila, address Keskuskatu 1.

In addition to our open activities, our volunteers also work in co-operation with the city of Riihimäki in order to help immigrants and refugees during their first weeks or months living in Riihimäki. Regular meetings with Riihimäki’s representatives guarantee the flow of information and continuity of co-operation.

We also attend to joint meetings with professionals and organizations working with immigrants and refugees in Riihimäki and Hausjärvi area, and also to Red Cross’ Häme district’s meetings with other volunteers working with immigrants, refugees and paperless people.
