KaffeLa – open café

  • Kaffela is a low-threshold meeting place for everyone
  • Coffee, tea and Finnish snacks (important)
  • Small talk in Finnish, information on Lahti and Finnish culture
  • New friends, many languages and  nationalities

Co-operation with local reception centre VOK

  • Training and communication: volunteer recruitment, needs
  • Information transfer between reception centre, refugees / immigrants and local Lahti branch
  • Important to have contact persons (and time for co-operation)
