MULTICULTURAL ACTIVITIES

COME TO JOIN AND ORGANIZE MULTICULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Do you want to speak out for the diversity of the society? Do you want to be involved in the fight against racism? Are you interested in different cultures? Join the diverse crowd of Red Cross volunteers.
OPEN YOUR WORLDVIEW AND PROMOTE TOLERANCE WITH US
The Finnish Red Cross works for multicultural values and promotes the integration of immigrants. Everyone is warmly welcome to join us.
Almost every locality has a Red Cross department that offers meaningful things to do. We promote tolerance and equality. Come work with us!
- We offer the opportunity to expand worldview and gain knowledge about different cultures
- We visit schools to hold lessons or run different games
- We encourage immigrants to actively participate in our own activities by joining the local brances of the Red Cross
- We actively promote Red Cross principles and carry out events that promote tolerance in various areas. The most significant of these is the annual anti-racism campaign in March. You can join the Week Against Racism Campaign from anywhere!
THERE ARE MANY FORMS OF VOLUNTARY
We are constantly training volunteers to support immigrants. We work with various partners who promote the integration of immigrants.
- Be involved in organizing different cultural groups or language study groups - for women, men and children
- Go on excursions and camps
- Participate and give your time to tutoring with homeworks, for example, a couple of hours a week to help immigrant children. We provide homework help for children, young people and adult immigrants
- You can be a friend to a person with a refugee background and a guide to the new environment
- Become a spare grandmother or grandfather for the children of a refugee family. You can be even with the whole family, a familyfriend for a family with a refugee background
- Do tolerance education by visiting schools with us and speak out with us at various events
In addition, we provide advice and support to immigrants and asylum seekers on social issues and address existing grievances.
