Bulgarian Red Cross Youth (BRCY) is arranging the international Leadership and Cooperation training from 2nd to 9th of September 2019 in Varna, Bulgaria. Finnish Red Cross is seeking two (2) volunteers to participate the training. This is an interesting opportunity to all your young leaders to have a glimpse of the International Movement, to scale up their knowledge and skills on international cooperation and to share knowledge on a range of important topic for your National Societies like funding, humanitarian diplomacy and advocacy, project management basics and much more.

• What are the different youth delegate profiles and what are the National Societies’ approaches to selecting and preparing participants for events, such as camps, statutory meetings, etc.
• How does the RCRC Movement work and what are its components, including discussing the role of and the communication with the youth structures and networks, governance and management;
•  European Youth Network, the European Youth Coordination Committee, the Youth Commission;
• How to do advocacy work outside and within the National Society;
• What are the existing EU structures that concern youth and the existing funding opportunities;
• Project management basics;
• Psychosocial support and caring for volunteers; volunteer motivation; introducing existing practices, such as the Volunteer alliance
• Networking on European level and Youth in action/ empowerment
• Preferable process for preparation of delegates for the upcoming Statutory meetings and joint approach of the Youth NSs

• To be 16 years or older at the time of the event
• To be fluent in English
• To have been a part of the organization for at least 9 months
• To have knowledge about the RCRC Movement;
• To have organizational/leadership experience;
• To be active in the National Society and to demonstrate commitment, after the event to implement the newly acquired knowledge and skills in practice;
• The participants can be volunteers or staff members who work with youth;

All travel expenses of the participants will be covered by the Finnish Red Cross.
