Invitation to apply to an international project management training for youth

German Red Cross Youth Baden-Württemberg provincial branch organizes a big gathering of its members at the end of October in the town of Stetten am kalten Markt (Sigmaringen, Germany). During the gathering, approximately 300 Red Cross Youth volunteers aged 14 to 27 participate in inspiring workshops and celebrate the spirit of Red Cross Youth.

During the gathering, also an international project management training will be organized for youth. Finnish Red Cross is prepared to send two youth participants to take part in the project management training. The training participants should arrive in Germany on the 26th of October (before 2 pm) and departure will be on the 1st of November, 2017.

Participation requirements are the following:

-        Active Finnish Red Cross volunteer

-        Aged between 18 to 27 years old

-        Ready to make a brief presentation on Finnish Red Cross and Finland (to be prepared in advance); to contribute an example of a social project you have ran or experienced in the past; to present Finland during an opening ceremony and to participate in an international karaoke during the youth forum show

-        Participants should be prepared to sleeping on cots or sleeping pad with reduced comfort. Group accommodation will be organized in a school building.

-        Ready to share the learning within the Finnish Red Cross and contribute to the development of Finnish Red Cross youth work

Ifyou are interested in participating, please fill in the attached application form and send it with a motivation letter to by Sunday the 15th of October. A letter of reference from your Finnish Red Cross district or branch (in English, Finnish or Swedish) is optional.

All travel expenses of the participants will be covered by the Finnish Red Cross.
